Monofilament line is the cheapest option when it comes to choosing a suitable mainline for fishing with either handlines or Belitronic Ex Machines.
If the plan is to fish for Mackerel in relatively shallow water (less than 40m) then monofilament line is perfectly adequate.
Once the end of line starts to look worn, it is easy to pull the line off and wind it on upside down so it can be used again.
Each mainline is supplied with a stainless steel clip swivel at the end for joining the sets of hooks quickly and securely.
The clip swivels is crimped to the end of the line which is then wound onto a plastic spool.
The last end has a slip knot loop tied in the end. This loop is put around the line holder or spool of the jigging machine, pulled tight and trimmed off neatly.
The line is then wound onto the holder or spool so that the clip swivel is on the end ready to use.
