When hook & line fishing, choosing the right line is important, both to maximise the fishing potential, and to keep costs as low as possible.

We stock a range of quality monofilament fishing lines from 48lb up to 400lbs and we can easily supply heavier monofilament through our extensive network of suppliers via special order.

Large spools of monofilament offer a significant savings. However, because of their size and weight, they may incur additional postage charges.

We have also sourced high strength braided Dyneema line that is made especially for us to supply with Yo-Zuri diveboards, however it is also suitable for any high stress mainline application.

1) Triplefish

This is a premium monofilament, made in Germany. It has been the favourite of local handline fishermen for many years.
Triplefish is a very tough monofilament that stands up to the stresses and strains loaded onto fishing gear through constant use, like winding the line full of fish, through stripping gear.

A Clear, Perlon monofilament that is a good all around line for any type of fishing.
Unlike nylon, which is weakened by being stretched. Perlon mono restores itself 400-500 times per cycle test. It does not stretch any more of less than regular mono does.
For many years Triplefish has been the premier monofilament used by local handline fishermen, many will not use anything else!

2) Bionix Monofilament

This is a Japanese made monofilament line that represents exceptional value for money.

It is an inexpensive, very hard and tough line, which makes it a popular choice amongst hook and line fishermen.

Bionix monofilament is also exceptionally thin for the stated breaking strain.

4) Braided Fishing Lines

When jig fishing in deep or strong tidal waters, keeping line diameter to a minimum is important to reduce drag and the amount of weight needed.

Dyneema braid is incredibly strong and abrasion resistant, making it the first choice line for many commercial applications.

We offer the following sizes .........

1.1mm Diameter
This is suitable for use with jigging machines or other deck equipment.
It is ideal for use when jigging or trolling with K-boards because of its high breaking strain, low diameter and very low stretch.
Due to the low diameter, this line is not suitable for hauling by hand.

1.5mm and 1.8mm Diameter
We are now able to supply 1.5mm and 1.8mm high strength Dyneema braided lines that are made to our own specification.
These are supplied in convenient 100m rolls, making them perfect for hand lines or for using with jigging machines

Our braided lines are made from 100% Dyneema fibre giving them a high strength, high abrasion resistance; low stretch and thin diameter.

All our Dyneema lines are Black /slate grey in colour.
